Jennifer-Thanh Hoang (NYS licensed acupuncturist) is a third generation acupuncturist. She had her official training at the New York College for Wholistic Health, Education, and Research on Long Island and at the Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She has been in the field treating patients since 1996.

As a "Boat People" survivor, she had witnessed the undeniable effectiveness of acupuncture in the harsh forest of Vietnam and Malaysia. Acupuncture as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Eastern Medicine) is an ancient healing art which has been used in China for over 2000 years.

Previous to entering Eastern Medicine, Jennifer completed her Pre-Med curriculum at the University of Stony Brook and graduated with bachelor degrees in Biology and Medical Technology. She had worked as a clinical Microbiologist at St. Francis Hospital and as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at the Pall Corporation in Port Washington, NY. She has also served as a clinical supervisor/teaching staff at the New York College of Holistic Professions in Syosset, NY.

Jennifer's perception of health is well balanced with her background in both Eastern and Western medicine. In the past years, Jennifer has treated a wide range of ailments. Her approach is preventative, holistic, and individualized. She encourages the community to take part in routinely using Traditional Chinese Medicine for health and wellness.

Acupuncture treatment or therapy often consists of a combination of acupuncture, acupressure, auricular acupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, electro-stim, massage, meditation, Eastern nutrition, the use of essential oils, etc. Other than providing acupuncture therapy, the importance of patient education and patient-practitioner collaboration or teamwork is emphasized to reach the mutual goal of achieving optimal health and well-being independently for everyday living.

Those who are needle shy find Jennifer’s treatments pleasant, gentle, and without the need to overcome the fear of needles.
