Previous to entering Eastern Medicine, Jennifer completed her Pre-Med curriculum at the University of Stony Brook and graduated with bachelor degrees in Biology and Medical Technology. She had worked as a clinical Microbiologist at St. Francis Hospital and as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at the Pall Corporation in Port Washington, NY. She has also served as a clinical supervisor/teaching staff at the New York College of Holistic Professions in Syosset, NY.
Jennifer's perception of well being is well balanced with her background in both Eastern and Western medicine. In the past years, Jennifer has treated a wide range of ailments for patients from as young as 1 to as golden as 95 years of age. Jennifer's approach is preventative, holistic and individualized. She encourages family acupuncture for all ages and would like to encourage the community to take part in routinely using Traditional Chinese Medicine for health and wellness.
Jennifer recognizes conditions associated with "growing pain" and look to ease children's natural distresses as they progress through their developmental stages. Treatments are often a combination of acupuncture (including needle-less techniques commonly used for children), acupressure, auricular acupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, electro-stim, massage, meditation, Eastern nutrition, the use of essential oils, etc. Through acupuncture treatments, patient education, and patient-practitioner collaboration, Jennifer is able to help many to confidently achieve optimal health and well-being independently for everyday living.
Those who are needle shy find Jennifer’s treatments pleasant, gentle, and without the need to overcome the fear of needles.
